Job Responsibilities:
As a Veterinary Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) at ZoaDx, this position will play a key role in supporting key elements of the clinical trial process for veterinary products. This position is responsible for assisting in the execution of essential operational and administrative functions needed to conduct veterinary clinical trials including, but not limited to: animal socialization, the collection of clinical samples and/or observations, clinical operations, and the execution of other study events. This role involves working closely with clinical teams, investigators, and study Principal Investigators to ensure all research activities are performed in compliance with protocol guidelines, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards. This position will serve as a key member of the team executing veterinary research studies, coordinating the day-to-day operations of the clinical trials office, and assist in maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and uniformity across study sites. This position reports to the President.
Key Responsibilities:
- Animal Care and Procedures: Independently perform and complete animal procedures in compliance with regulations, working instructions, and SOPs, including administering test articles, collecting samples, and conducting health observations.
- Vendor and Internal Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal functions to facilitate clinical activities. Also, assist in managing relationships with external vendors, consultants, and Sponsors.
- Document Control: Report protocol deviations to the Principal Investigator (PI), sponsor, and Institutional Review Board (IRB) as necessary.
- Study Coordination, Execution and Monitoring: Assist in coordinating and monitoring all study activities, including start-up, investigator training, study conduct, site monitoring, and close-out. Ensure that projects are executed efficiently and data are collected accurately across study sites. Maintain supply inventory and order supplies in a timely fashion to ensure availability for studies.
- Project Management and Support: Participate in regular team meetings, track progress on assigned tasks, and facilitate the transfer of important information to management. Ensure that all clinical veterinary projects remain on schedule and meet regulatory compliance standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Aid in the continuous improvement of clinical veterinary operational functions, refine processes, and develop tools to enhance the efficiency of clinical trials. Keep up with current developments in methods, standards, and requirements for training in animal research and current laws, regulations, and policies governing animal research, teaching, and testing.
- Compliance with Industry Standards: Utilize best practices and industry standards to ensure all clinical studies are completed in a timely and compliant manner.
- Data Management and Quality Assurance: Performs concurrent documentation of study activities, reviews raw data for accuracy, and ensures high-quality results.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support the clinical development process.

- Knowledge of the regulations governing animals used in biomedical research.
Education / Experience Requirements:
- Veterinarian Technician Certificate or associate degree in relevant field (examples: biology, animal science, etc.) with relevant animal experience.
- One (1) year of experience in clinical research or animal handling in a clinical environment, though training may be provided.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred to be in Veterinary Science, Veterinary Technology, Animal Health Science, Biology or a related field) with relevant animal experience.
- Three (3) years of experience in clinical research or clinical trial management is preferred
Work Environment / Physical Demands:
- Home-based office position with working conditions suitable and conducive to and efficient working environment.
- Appropriate availability consistent with established practices and norms; effort may exceed 40 hours per week when required to meet critical deadlines.
- Travel up to 25% by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicles, etc., including overnight stays as needed.
- Ability to sit and/or stand to work at a computer for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and move up to 10 pounds.
Estimated Salary Range $54K–65K a year
